Our Partner Held Interactive Environmental Education Sessions for Pre–schoolers
The Planetrise Cultural and Environmental Association has recently conducted playful environmental education sessions for kindergarten children. As part of the Hierotheos Association's programme entitled "Raising Awareness, Education, Consciousness," they visited several kindergartens over the past few days, delivering interactive activities focused on waste recycling and reuse.
The sessions were held at four different locations – Nyíradony, Debrecen, Hajdúdorog, and Nyíregyháza – where children were given hands-on demonstrations of selective waste collection.
Discussions covered the impact of waste on both the natural and built environment, as well as the possibilities and importance of recycling and reusing materials. According to the Földkelte Association's report, the preschoolers preparing to start school were curious and engaged. They demonstrated their knowledge not only during the conversations but also by completing colourful and playful worksheets. As a reward, each group received a selective waste sorting board game.
